Your books, read aloud and illustrated
Laterna is an ebook reader that reads your books aloud. Open your own EPUB, FB2 or PDF, and a natural voice narrates it like an audiobook — while its chapters get illustrations.
Read
Real pages on warm, white or sepia paper, with the font, size and margins you like. On iPad, two pages side by side, like an open book.
Listen
The standard voice reads Russian, Ukrainian and English right on your device. The live voice reads Russian and English more warmly — and reads the classics in our catalogue for free.
See
Illustrations for the chapters of your books, in the manner of old engravings. Their place on the page is kept from the start, so the text never jumps.
Private by design
Your books stay on your device: we never collect your files, or the titles and authors of what you read. You don’t need an account, and there is no advertising. How Laterna handles data
